Corns and calluses

Callus and corns treatment in Shephed

Corns and calluses are thick, hardened layers that develop when your skin tries to protect itself against friction and pressure.

Corns are smaller than calluses, often have a hard centre and can be extremely painful. There are several different types of corns including hard/soft corns and seed corns that are smaller and tend not to be painful.

Calluses can be painful and often develop on the soles of your feet.

Treating it.

Both corns and calluses are generally very straight forward to treat. They are one of the main reasons why people would seek the help of a foot health practitioner.

Book an appointment.

I see Kelly every 5 weeks for my corn which ensures that I’m never in any pain with it. If I leave it, it becomes painful to wear my shoes.
